Organ ATTACK is an educational medical card game where you try to remove all of your opponent’s organs before they remove yours.  The last person that has at least one organ left wins the game.  The Organ ATTACK card game was designed, developed and illustrated by The Awkward Yeti and is recommended for children 12 years and older and should be played with 2 – 5 players.

Organ Attack Card Game

The game comes with 2 decks of cards.  The organ deck has 20 cards that represent most major human organs, like stomach, bladder, tonsils, spleen, eyes, bowels, kidneys, liver, tongue, esophagus, gallbladder, brain, pancreas, teeth, thyroid, and lungs. Additionally there is a wild card.  The attack card deck has afflictions that are used to attach an opponent’s organs, like pancreatitis, arrhythmia, thyroiditis, and even hot coffee.

Organ ATTACK raised $526,274 through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. Organ Attack began raising funds on June 3, 2016 and made its fundraising goal of $12,000 in less than 24 hours on June 4, 2016.  Stretch goals for every backer that pledged more than $20 included an expansion deck, nicer boxes, a sticker and poker cards with AwkwardYeti theme.

The Awkward Yeti established reward tiers for its crowdfunding supporters, including:

  • Both organ and attack card decks and rulebook download for $16
  • One copy of complete game for $20
  • Complete game and Organ ATTACK mini print for $35
  • 2 copies of the game for $40
  • 5 signed copies of the game, signed Organ ATTACK mini print, a t-shirt, and a painting of one of the organ characters for $1,000

Other Medical Card Games

There are a few other medical card games on the market.  One of the more popular games is Occam’s Razor where players match diseases with 62 cards that have patient symptoms.  Occam’s Razor is really more of a study aid designed to teach prospective medical professionals about conditions like acute appendicitis, congestive heart failure, gout, pulmonary embolus, rheumatoid arthritis, and leukemia.
